Growing demand from individuals, small and large businesses drives global expansion

/PRNewswire/ — Replit, the agentic creation platform that helps users turn their ideas into apps, websites, products and new businesses, celebrated the opening of its first international office in London this week. Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, joined the company for a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the opening of Replit’s first site outside the United States.

Founded in 2016, Replit has more than 60 million users worldwide, including 85% of the Fortune 500. Today’s launch follows a series of recent announcements from Replit, including a collaboration with OpenAI on its Free Tier mode, continued investment in enterprise-grade security, and the launch of Replit Design, all initiatives aimed at expanding the reach of its product.
The company plans to make London the hub of its European operations. It plans to double its headcount and investments over the coming year and significantly strengthen its presence in London, as the company continues its global expansion into small and large businesses. Replit already supports a whole series of small businesses that use the platform on a daily basis.
Companies already using Replit across Europe include PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Ernst & Young, Mercedes-Benz Group, TrustPilot and Hg. They join the list of US clients, including Accenture, Visa and Zillow, who use Replit in their daily operations.
Replit also announced a partnership with the charity The Lord Mayor’s Appeal (TLMA), which supports young Londoners who are not in education, employment or training (NEET). Together, they plan to roll out a four-week pilot program over the coming months for 100 young people from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds to provide them with essential programming skills that they can use to access jobs and other professional opportunities.
