High-precision ranging and UWB radar multiplexing
YFORE’s next-generation digital key leverages Bluetooth®6.0 Channel Sounding and UWB technologies to address common industry challenges, such as approach latency and “ping-pong” lock cycles caused by multi-propagation and body shadowing. By combining phase-based telemetry and round-trip transit times, the system provides bi-directional centimeter-level spatial accuracy, while operating independently of cellular networks and limiting vulnerabilities to relay attacks. It extends the range of the stable RF connection by up to 30% compared to traditional configurations to provide a continuous hands-free passive entry and start experience with activation on arrival at 10m, passive unlock at 2m and automatic lock at 6m.
Beyond access, YFORE optimizes the efficiency of the system by reusing the vehicle’s UWB anchors. Software updates enable the seamless integration of advanced radar features in various scenarios, including detection of the presence of children and occupants on board, kick detection by UWB technology and low-power sleep mode, to ensure a maximum level of safety and comfort in the vehicle.
Multiple credentials access and deployment flexibility
YFORE also presented its connected key fobs made of various materials: ceramic, leather or glass and equipped with high-end matte finishes, as well as versatile NFC access solutions. Compatible with smartphones, connected objects and key cards equipped with NFC technology, these modular NFC solutions allow flexible integration at the central pillars, exterior mirrors and door handles equipped with capacitive touch sensors.
