/PRNewswire/ — Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn) (TWSE: 2317) on Friday demonstrated its strengths in contract design and manufacturing services (CDMS) for automotive customers by introducing three new reference electric vehicles that target under-tapped markets while offering cost-effective options and flexible design platforms.

Two eye-catching SUVs, that MODEL A+ and that MODEL K+as well as the compact truck MODEL K extends Foxconn’s advances in electric mobility to the Kei-class trucks popular in Japan, bringing the group’s number of electric vehicle reference models to a total of 12.

“The new reference electric vehicles complement Foxconn’s evolving electric mobility ecosystem, accelerating time to market, cost realization and technology adoption for our customers and partners,” said Jun Seki, chief strategy officer for electric vehicles at Foxconn.

All three new models were unveiled at “Hon Hai Tech Day 2026” (HHTD26), the annual flagship technology conference of the world’s largest electronics manufacturer and the world premiere stage for the group’s B2B electric vehicles. On the Taipei show floor, Foxconn’s electric mobility ecosystem included demonstrations of Taiwanese-made “full-stack” battery developments – from materials to cells and battery packs to BMS; E/E architecture and powertrains for E2W and E3W.

Among the electric vehicles on display, a right-hand drive MODEL B offered visitors the opportunity to see the result of the CDMS collaboration, while on stage representatives from Honda R&D and Mitsubishi Electric Mobility discussed their developments in the field of electromobility together with Foxconn in separate presentations.

MODEL A+

As an expressive luxury model and at the same time an authentic SUV for wealthy drivers, the MODEL A+ is a conscious step towards expanding the B2B product portfolio in the fastest growing B segment of SUVs. With in-wheel motor technology and selectable EEA, the vehicle offers a striking exterior design with a spacious interior that provides solutions for flood emergencies, as a temporary living space and as an emergency power supply for the electromobility lifestyle when glamping and camping.

MODEL K+

This is an expressive yet affordable SUV designed for active young people. The playful design with nostalgic touches is reminiscent of Japan’s city pop era of the 70s and 80s, but with a modern neo-city pop touch. The highly distinctive lifestyle SUV for a niche market is aimed at B2B customers who want to develop their own lifestyle SUV EV under their brand, as well as OEMs who want to offer affordable yet distinctive vehicles for younger customers. Thanks to in-wheel motor technology, the MODEL K+ offers individual customization options in terms of exterior, interior, range and EEA for dedicated applications at a competitive price.

MODEL K

This is a functional yet futuristic van for future-oriented entrepreneurs. The MODEL K is aimed at the specialized class of commercial kei trucks and is used in the last mile sector and in mobility services. Because it is designed to comply with environmental regulations, it is attractive to decarbonization-focused entrepreneurs, municipalities and governments while offering a lower total cost of ownership (TCO) through lower energy and maintenance costs. A functional beauty inspired by the design language of Foxconn’s award-winning MODEL T electric bus, the canopy-ready MODEL K designs a lower bed height and longer bed length.
