The TIGGO7 passed the crash test with a truck at 50km/h, demonstrating the protection provided by its body structure and restraint systems.

Beyond the specifications: safety on the test bench

In his opening remarks, Liang Yugen, an executive in Chery’s automotive division, described safety as a fundamental requirement for building vehicles and entering international markets, not as an optional feature. He pointed out that the TIGGO7 series has received five stars each from China’s C-NCAP, Euro NCAP, Australia’s ANCAP and ASEAN NCAP. These achievements reflect CHERY’s “In Somewhere, For Somewhere, Be Somewhere” approach and the company’s commitment to users worldwide.

An impressive family performance and a film about outdoor travel set the mood for a weekend getaway before the action moved to the crash laboratory, creating a connection between the test and the safety of families in everyday life.

After a countdown, the TIGGO7 underwent the crash test, which was broadcast live on an LED screen. Safety expert Li Jun then entered the testing area and explained the results to guests: The eCall system was automatically activated upon impact to request emergency assistance; the A-pillars, B-pillars and doors remained intact, with no significant deformation of the passenger compartment; In addition, the belt tensioners and airbags were deployed in a coordinated manner to protect the crash test dummies.

The experiences of the vehicle owners make the commitment tangible

During the Guardian Club event, CHERY vehicle owners from around the world shared how robust body structures had helped them survive accidents or how active safety features helped them avoid danger. In keeping with the spirit of the closing speech: “Thanks to CHERY, these families returned home safely, even on their worst day. This was not luck, but the result of technical performance. This is Guardian. For Family.”

At the Chery International User Summit 2026, CHERY highlighted vehicle safety, while the AiMOGA Robotics Global Launch explored smart technologies for family life. Guided by the motto “For Family,” CHERY will continue to apply rigorous testing standards and advanced safety technologies to protect families on every journey.
