- 45% of executives expect AI agents to be integrated into workflows within a year; only 30% of employees say the same
- Only 22% of managers are very confident that their companies are developing future-proof skills within the workforce
- Only 36% of managers say their HR strategy clearly shows how AI creates opportunities for employees; only 39% involve employees directly in the redesign of workplaces
/PRNewswire/ — Adecco Group global study of 2,000 C-level executives in 13 countries shows that companies are accelerating their adoption of AI. However, many lack the necessary clear leadership, workforce trust and skills building to translate the implementation into measurable results. The respondents are responsible for more than 8.6 million employees and their answers provide insight from the perspective of top management into how AI is changing strategy and skills and how well companies are organizationally prepared for it.
The report “The human premium: Leadership beyond the algorithm” shows that 45% of executives expect AI agents to be integrated into workflows within the next 12 months. Yet only 36% say their HR strategy clearly shows how AI will create opportunities for employees. This points to a growing gap between companies’ AI ambitions and the AI skills of their workforce.
Denis Machuel, Managing Director of The Adecco Group, said:
“AI may advance at software speed, but trust in organizations emerges at human speed. Companies that ignore this divide will struggle to translate pilots into performance. Success will be those that combine technology with transparency, accountability, and a clear path for employees to adapt. Business leaders have a fundamental responsibility to ensure that people and technology can work in harmony.”
