Centrilogic, a provider of IT transformation solutions including multi-cloud management and next-generation applications and services, this week became one of just a handful of Oracle Cloud-focused cloud services providers via its acquisition of fellow solution provider and MSP 3RP.
With the acquisition, Centrilogic’s Oracle Cloud business will account for over 20 percent of the company’s revenue, up from between 10 percent and 20 percent, said Robert Offley, president and CEO of the Toronto-based company.
It made sense for Centrilogic to acquire 3RP, Offley told CRN.

“3RP brings us two key components,” he said. “The first is expertise around Oracle Cloud. The first generation of Oracle Cloud had challenges, but Oracle has invested in it and it’s now a viable product. 3RP is one of only 23 Oracle Cloud Solutions Providers. And 3RP also brings experience around Oracle EBS [E-Business Suite], which is something we’ve been wanting to build a practice around.”
As a company, Centrilogic, No. 314 on CRN’s 2021 Solution Provider 500, supports Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, but not Google Cloud, Offley said.https://ab12f51d6d79620d2afcba60988fff2c.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-38/html/container.html
“Azure and Oracle play well together,” he said.
The value of the acquisition of Phoenix-based 3RP was not disclosed. Centrilogic, which has been profitable from the beginning, funded the acquisition from its own balance sheet, Offley said.
Going forward, 3RP CEO Scott Salomon will become the group vice president for Centrilogic’s Oracle practice.
“Scott will be the driver behind our Oracle practice,” Offley said. “He really sees the value of combining with a larger company. He wants to take 3RP’s success across the nation and into Canada.”
3RP is Centrilogic‘s third acquisition in the past two years, following the January 2020 acquisition of ManageForce, a data services provider for Oracle and Microsoft applications, and the April 2020 acquisition of cloud-native development and application services company ObjectSharp.
Centrilogic is growing organically at a rate of over 20 percent per year, Offley said.
“But as a company focused on helping customers with their IT transformation to move to the cloud with our consulting and managed services, we see a lot of opportunities around analytics and security,” he said. “So acquisitions will continue to be a part of our strategy going forward.”RELATED TOPICS:
