One of the standout exhibits was a screenless AI tutor that combines lighting and education in an innovative way. Developed by a research team led by Tsinghua and awarded the Gold Medal at the Geneva International Exposition of Inventions, the device replaces the traditional screen with a 23-inch desktop projection that allows students to write, read and interact directly on paper. Millisecond haptic feedback makes the projected surface intuitive, while eye-friendly AA-grade illumination, RG0 blue light protection, and diffuse reflection imaging contribute to a healthier study environment. Driven by its own large educational model, it supports tutoring in multiple subjects, homework correction, and the learning needs of the entire grade. Its integrated minimalist design and strict component standards further position it as an intelligent combination of lighting, AI assistance and refined product engineering.

The lighting of public spaces was also presented in improved versions. A 200W solar streetlight demonstrated how municipal lighting is becoming more resilient and energy independent. Its reinforced structure and intelligent control system maintain stable lighting in extreme temperatures, from -40°C to 70°C, while high-efficiency solar panels and high-capacity batteries ensure year-round operation, even in prolonged periods of cloudiness or rain. Rather than functioning as a passive light source, the product acts as an active node within a distributed energy system, reflecting a general trend towards “generation, storage and supply” models in outdoor lighting.

Applying this idea to personal use, portable solar powered products added a new level of creativity. A solar-powered smart audio cap integrates high-efficiency solar cells into its brim, converting sunlight into energy when walking, fishing or cycling. The design resolves concerns about battery life, offering up to 20 hours of playback. Its open-ear acoustic structure allows users to be aware of their surroundings, making it ideal for outdoor sports and long-term activities.

Whether improving student learning, strengthening the reliability of public infrastructure or integrating clean energy into everyday outdoor life, the products on display in the Lighting and Electrical category point to a future in which lighting and energy technologies will play a more integrated role in creating healthier, safer and more sustainable living environments.
