/PRNewswire/ –The Chishui River World Wine and Fine Spirits Declaration was issued during the Chishui River Forum 2025 recently held in Guizhou Province, southwest China, calling for the sustainable development of the entire wine and spirits industry.
The Declaration calls on wine and alcoholic beverage companies to respect nature and safeguard ecology, maintain quality and preserve culture, promote rational and healthy alcohol consumption, and fulfill their responsibilities and serve society.
It also underlines the need for wine and spirits companies to pursue technological empowerment and integrated development, foster openness, inclusion and mutual respect, and promote exchanges and mutual learning for coexistence and common prosperity.
The Declaration was issued at a time when the global spirits industry is undergoing significant challenges due to the change in consumer preferences, led by the younger generation, especially Generation Z, the application of digital technologies in the traditional spirits making process, as well as the needs of globalization.
With the theme “Intertwining Harmony”, the 2025 Chishui River Forum attracted nearly 400 domestic and international participants, including representatives of well-known wine and spirits companies and industry experts, to exchange views and perspectives on the development of the global spirits industry. The forum was organized by the China Economic Information Service and the China Alcoholic Beverages Corporation (China Moutai).
