/PRNewswire/ –BE OPEN Art, an online gallery created by Elena Baturina’s humanitarian think tank BE OPEN, will continue to curate BE OPEN Regional Art for the fourth year in 2026. The regional competition for emerging artists aims to support those whose art best represents their regional, cultural and ethnic identity, for the third year in a row.

To this end, the BE OPEN expert community selects artists who best represent the artistic tradition of a given region to present them in the BE OPEN art gallery and provide them with greater visibility. Thus, works by 20 new emerging artists appear each month in the online gallery, and a public vote selects the regional artist of the month. One of the monthly winners receives the title of Artist of the region and a scholarship based on the number of votes from the public and members of the BE OPEN artistic community.
From January to April 2026, the competition will explore the art of northeast Africa, with artists from Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan, Libya, Egypt and Madagascar.
In 2026, each regional stage will last four months, and a winner will be chosen and will receive 500 euros at the end of the fourth month. In addition, the Founders’ Favorite will receive 300 euros. The regional competition runs alongside the regular work of BEOPENArt, whose experts select 20 new artists for the gallery each month, using online voting to nominate Artist of the Month and Artist of the Year.
With the ambition to support emerging talents, BEOPEN Art selects early-career artists who emphasize social consciousness and aesthetic solutions to the ills of the contemporary world. The project’s mission is to seek out new influencers on the art scene and invites everyone to contribute.
