The CATL co-branded C&I system achieves 20 MWh per node, while the new residential solution has zero capacity loss for three years
/PRNewswire/ — Ampace, a global leader in lithium-ion batteries, today introduced two new energy storage solutions at Intersolar Europe 2026: the UniC AG440, a commercial and industrial (C&I) system co-developed with CATL, and the PR-S3 Elite residential energy storage system. Both are presented under the company’s “Meet All, Green More” motto, which spans the entire C&I, residential and AIDC storage portfolio.
“As the energy transition accelerates, customers need solutions that combine performance, security and reliability in increasingly complex environments. Our latest innovations are designed to help both businesses and homes build more resilient and sustainable energy systems. ‘Meet All, Green More’ reflects our commitment to supporting every partner, every application and every opportunity that the clean energy transition brings,” said Dr. Qingfeng Yuan, CTO of Ampace.
UniC AG440 – developed for extreme conditions
Developed in collaboration with CATL, the UniC AG440 combines CATL’s advanced LFP cell technology with Ampace’s expertise in distributed energy applications. Each node supports up to 45 units, enabling a system capacity of approximately 20 MWh. Compared to conventional systems in the 200 kWh class, the UniC AG440 offers 50% higher energy density and a 50% smaller footprint. The system has extensive safety certifications, including UL9540A, IEC62619, IEC62477 and ISO13849 PLd, and operates reliably even in temperatures as low as -25°C without additional heating.
“I am particularly proud to be part of the unveiling of the UniC AG440 – a product that proudly bears both the Ampace and CATL logos. In the AG440, we have combined CATL’s advanced LFP cell technology with Ampace’s deep expertise in distributed energy applications. The result is a reliable, efficient and purpose-built C&I storage system that meets the stringent requirements of the European market,” said Xu Jinmei, CTO the Energy Storage System Division of CATL. “Together we will continue to expand our local presence, support the integration of renewable energy and help companies achieve their sustainability goals with confidence and security.”
PR-S3 Elite for high-performance storage solutions in private households
The PR-S3 Elite was designed to meet the requirements of European households for durability and cold resistance. Its proprietary FrostCore technology overcomes the low temperature limitations of lithium-ion chemistry and enables normal charging and discharging performance at -20°C. Designed to last 15,000 charge cycles, the PR-S3 Elite exhibits zero capacity loss for the first three years, reducing total cost of ownership while ensuring long-term reliability.
Commitment to environmentally friendly operations
Earlier this year, Ampace achieved operational CO₂ neutrality in accordance with the ISO 14068-1:2023 standard following independent verification by TÜV SÜD. Ampace’s manufacturing facilities are now powered by 100% carbon-free electricity, provided by large-scale solar power generation and energy storage infrastructure. The company was also awarded the EcoVadis Silver Medal, placing it in the top 10% of organizations evaluated worldwide for their sustainability performance. In addition, it recently joined the United Nations Global Compact to reaffirm its commitment to responsible growth and climate action.
