Hey Tuya Upgraded: Unlocking New AI Living Experiences
The latest version of Hey Tuya represents a comprehensive evolution from basic AI capabilities to scenario-based intelligent experiences.
- Third-party services expansion: Hey Tuya now fully integrates with third-party services such as Gmail, Calendar and Docs. Users can send emails, schedule meetings, or edit documents with a single voice command, transforming AI from a conversational tool into an action-oriented assistant.
- Expanded hardware ecosystem: Hey Tuya has expanded its compatibility with the hardware ecosystem and now offers full support for Matter and mainstream open source platforms such as Home Assistant.
- Improved AI foundation: Hey Tuya’s AI foundation has been extensively improved to support more natural conversations, deeper thinking, and complex task planning. Users can speak naturally, as they would with a friend, and Hey Tuya interprets the intent and executes the tasks accordingly, turning reactive execution into proactive support.

At the summit, Tuya introduced its self-trained Personal Voice Activity Detection (PVAD) model, specifically designed for AI hardware scenarios. PVAD allows devices to automatically detect and focus on speakers without prior registration, significantly reducing false activations in complex acoustic environments. This allows the AI-driven hardware to more accurately determine who is speaking before executing commands, improving both reliability and user experience.
The company also announced major upgrades and new versions of its AI infrastructure, including Physical AI Foundation V2.8, Wukong AI 3.0, the Tuya Real-Time Communication (T-RTC) network, Physical Action Model (PAM), and OmniMem V2.0, a long-term storage system. Together, these technologies form a comprehensive “toolkit” for developers of next-generation AI applications.
